HOT TAKE: Imagine If Toilet Paper Was Only Available in the Common Area

Here’s a simple way to think about workplace period care:
If toilet paper was only available in a basket by the sink or in a dispenser in the common area, people would lose their minds.
They wouldn’t call it an “amenity.” They wouldn’t call it a “perk.” They’d call it what it is: ABSURD.
A basic restroom essential that belongs inside the stall.
So why do so many workplaces still treat pads and tampons differently?
Most setups fall into one of two common patterns:
a basket on the counter
a bulky common-area dispenser
Both are well-intentioned.
But both miss the core point.
People don’t need period products at the sink. They need them in the stall.
