2.5 Million Period Products to Schools.

Scaling period product distribution can be especially challenging for nonprofits and schools, particularly those serving multiple sites or rural communities. Limited storage space, transportation costs, and the need for staff or volunteers to deliver products can make it difficult to reach the schools and communities that need them most.

In partnership with MA-based Free. Ministry, an Alliance for Period Supplies member, UNICORN recently addressed these challenges through a large-scale distribution in MA, delivering 2,500,600 period products to 500+ schools. By coordinating shipments directly to schools, the program ensured that students had reliable access to pads and tampons without placing additional logistical burden on nonprofit and school partners.

To make this possible at scale, UNICORN products were drop shipped directly to schools, totaling more than two full truckloads of product delivered statewide. This approach eliminated the need for nonprofit partners to receive, store, or personally deliver the products, removing a major barrier that often limits how far distribution programs can reach.

As a Massachusetts-based, women-owned company, it is especially meaningful for UNICORN to support this work close to home. While we are honored to help organizations expand period product access across the country, seeing these products reach students in our own backyard makes the impact even more tangible.
