Where should period products be placed in workplace restrooms?

It sounds like a small detail, but placement completely changes the experience.

If someone unexpectedly gets their period while they’re already in a stall, they shouldn’t have to leave the stall, walk to the sink area, find a dispenser, and then return.

That becomes even more important for someone using an accessible stall, with limited mobility, or who may have difficulty navigating the restroom or reaching a dispenser outside the stall.

The most intuitive place for period products is where they’re actually needed:

inside the stall.

For workplace and facilities teams, in-stall placement can also create a more consistent restroom experience across a building or portfolio.

A few things to think about:

• Can someone access the product without leaving the stall?

• Is the dispenser easy for facilities teams to refill?

• Does the placement work across different restroom layouts?

• Are products available consistently, or only in select restrooms?

• Does the system create extra maintenance or fit into the existing restroom routine?
